Tollerton Window Display

March 2021

In the midst of lockdowns, a couple of artists from my village decided to use the large window in our parish council rooms to make a display of their work for the villagers to look at on their daily walks in winter.
It was rumored that they were to take it down in the springtime and an opportunity appeared. I got together with two other local artists, Katie and Paul and we volunteered our work to continue the window entertainment.
After a month or so of planning how it would look, and what pieces we would put in there, the day came to start decorating the space.

Our main issue was creating a high enough platform for our work to feature on, and how we would light them. Solution- stacking tables on top of chairs and sticking LEDs around the window frames (every health and safety officer's worst nightmare).

2 days later we had something we were proud of.
Katie and I shared one window. I had 4 large photos portraying the seasons and Katie exhibited yogic art to compliment the colour scheme.
Paul in the next window arranged his work in a size-order aesthetic encompassing many of the local scenes.
