Rustic Romance: Jamie and Becky’s Wedding at The Old Wheat Barn
Nestled in the outskirts of Scunthorpe, The Old Wheat Barn at Pink Pig Farm is a hidden gem that served as the perfect backdrop for Jamie and Becky’s summer wedding. With its rustic charm and cosy atmosphere, the venue was the ideal choice for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Jamie and Becky’s wedding day was blessed with perfect weather—warm, sunny, and ideal for an outdoor celebration. The morning began with the couple getting ready separately, each surrounded by close friends and family. Excitement filled the air as guests began to arrive at The Old Wheat Barn, making their way to the beautifully converted barn, which had been exquisitely decorated by Ambience Lincolnshire.
The ceremony took place inside the barn, a setting made even more magical by a wall of twinkling fairy lights behind the couple. As Becky walked down the aisle to meet Jamie, the room was filled with emotion, with everyone captivated by the intimate and heartfelt vows shared between the bride and groom.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks and games outside, making the most of the sunny weather. The outdoor space was buzzing with activity, from the bounce floor that had kids (and some adventurous adults) jumping with joy, to the small glamping-style tents scattered around the area. These cosy tents offered a perfect retreat from the sun, giving guests a place to relax, chat, or even engage in an impromptu pillow fight! It was a delight to capture these lively, candid moments of celebration and fun.
After some time for refreshments, we gathered everyone for the group photos. Jamie and Becky’s family and friends were all smiles as they posed against the picturesque backdrop of the barn and the surrounding countryside. The newlyweds then took a moment for themselves, stepping away from the crowd for some more intimate photos. Their nieces and nephews couldn't resist joining in, adding a touch of playful spontaneity to the portraits.
As the afternoon transitioned into the evening, guests were invited inside for the wedding breakfast. The tables were laden with a delicious afternoon tea, offering a charming and relaxed dining experience. The speaches and cake cutting followed.
As the sun set and the sky darkened, the barn came alive with music and dancing. The atmosphere was electric as everyone hit the dance floor, celebrating the newlyweds well into the night. Later, we stepped outside once more to capture some magical sparkler shots, as well as floodlit images of Jamie and Becky, which beautifully illuminated their love on this special day.
